Our 15 days Tanzania Safari is wonderful for the wildlife lover searching for the Continent’s famous big five animals. This trip is for everyone that can’t afford missing to experience the real African wilderness experience and includes exploring Tanzania’s top National Parks and wildlife Reserves that include Serengeti,Lake Manyara and Tarangire National Parks as well as Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Lake Eyasi and so much more. Have you heard of the “big cat capital” before, or the cradle land of mankind? What about the tree-climbing lions? They will be discovered during this 2-week trip but that’s not all because cultural tours will also be added.

What to expect during the 15-day Tanzania Safari

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive for the 15 days Tanzania Safari
Welcome to spectacular Tanzania, home to African safaris. Upon arriving the Airport (at Kilimanjaro), the representative from Lets Go Tours Rwanda will receive and take you to the accommodation facility. This provides the perfect Tanzanian reception you need after the long flight and spend the evening at leisure.

Day 2: Road transfer to Tarangire National Park

Following a delicious breakfast, there will be a meeting from your private safari guide on the 15-day itinerary as well as brief introduction on the country. Start the scenic drive to Tarangire National Park with the views of the sweeping savannah while heading to the Lodge. Sights of zebras, lions, impalas, elephants and Olive baboons are provided while making a stop at your place of lodging. Three unforgettable nights will be spent at this Safari Camp with delicious food, beautiful views of the natural environment and most especially lots of wildlife.

Day 3&4: Wildlife safari within Tarangire National Park
The next two days will be spent transversing Tarangire National Park via fun-filled game drives. This is one of the rarely-explored Parks in the northern circuit and therefore during your time here, you will enjoy game viewing in seclusion. It is also known for its numerous Baobab tree as well as lots of zebras, Masai giraffes, cheetahs, lions, African bush elephants, Olive baboons, impalas, Defassa waterbucks, Cape buffaloes, leopards, gazelles, tree hyraxes and many others spotted wandering around the Baobab tree.
Also expect to see a portion of the 500 bird species in Tarangire National Park before ending the day with dinner and overnight at your Safari Camp.

Day 5: Drive from Tarangire National Park to Lake Manyara National Park
This morning, you depart for Lake Manyara National Park, home to the tree climbing lions that live in only two Parks. The Lake from which the Park derived its name attracts lots of wildlife species which you will see during the game drive. Herds of impalas, Cape buffaloes, Rhinoceros, giraffes, zebras and pods of Hippos are unmissable during your visit. Close the day at your reserved place of lodging with hot meal and eventually overnight.

Day 6: Lake Eyasi Tours with stop at the Datoga blacksmith Tribe
Today, enjoy a leisurely breakfast before meeting your private driver for a journey to Lake Eyasi, one of the most beautiful paces in Tanzania. Drive through the dusty road surrounding by open savannah grasslands dotted with typical woodland tree species. Before continuing to the Lake area, first drive through Lake Manyara National Park with sights of vervet monkeys, Hippos, bushbucks, impalas, blue monkeys, Masai giraffes, zebras, Olive baboons, Masai giraffes and most importantly the tree-climbing lions.
Be within Lake Eyasi area in the afternoon for the tour of Datoga tribe village to learn about their pastoralist lifestyle that includes women ornamented with brass, having mask-like tattoos around their eyes, use of hand-made tools and brass jewelry. This tour is one of the rewarding things you will be treated to during a typical Tanzania safari.

Day 7: Traditional hunting practices with Hadzabe Tribe
Rise with the sun for breakfast then embark on the guided village tour of Hadzabe tribe known as hunter-gatherers. First be briefed on arrival and start off with the walk with a chance of undertaking a fruit gathering, honey harvesting or hunting expedition. Following this exciting tour, be treated to a delicious lunch before leaving for the stunning Lake Natron area.
Settle-in the Lodge, freshen-up and unwind at the comfort of Mother Nature then later in the evening watch the sun behind Masonic mountains, gaze at the stars and listen to melodies of the wilderness.

Day 8: The Flamingo walk at Lake Eyasi and village tour at Ngare Sero
Having rested well, get treated to breakfast in the privacy and comfort of your room before continuing for the flamingo walk where lots of these beautiful birds will be sighted and photographed. Have a picnic lunch then continue to Ngare Sero for the village tour before continuing to hike the magnificent waterfalls. Lunch will be at the Safari Camp/Lodge, followed by unwinding until evening when dinner is served.

Day 9: Leave for the spectacular Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Arise early to capture the beautiful sunrise over Gelai Volcano, and this is after breakfast. Enjoy the dramatic changes in the sky from purple, pink to orange and you will agree that this country is indeed beautiful. From here, continue to Ngorongoro Conservation Area to relish the beauty of wild vegetation, big herds of elephants, buffaloes, Rhinos and wildebeests. The next stop is at the Safari Camp/Lodge. This will allow you to rest and rejuvenate for the next adventure in Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Day 10: Ngorongoro Conservation Area: All-day Wildlife safari
Enjoy a full-day tour of Ngorongoro Conservation Area led by an experienced Ranger Guide on this day. Ngorongoro Conservation Area is known for sheltering the World’s largest intact Caldera, from which animals converge for the lushest grasses and freshest water. A guided game drive is perfect for exploring this beautiful Protected Area and your expert guide will offer a deeper understanding of animals, their behavior and overall ecosystems. Animals in the area are Rhinoceros, the wild hunting dogs, warthogs, duikers, wildebeests, lions, zebras, African bush elephants, Cape buffaloes, bushbucks, impalas, Topis, Defassa waterbucks, Masai giraffes, Hippos, giant elands, Kobs, spotted hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, leopards and many others. Birds, especially secretary birds and Ostriches are spotted during the game drive while flamingos are common in Lake Magadi. Retire to the Camp/Lodge in the evening for dinner but lunch is in the middle of the wilderness.

Day 11: Journey from Ngorongoro Conservation Area to Serengeti National Park-the big cat tour

Early in the morning, you will undertake the 3-hour drive from Ngorongoro Conservation Area to the famous Serengeti National Park, and on getting there, you will drive towards your reserved Safari Camp/Lodge. Many animals will be encountered while continuing to your place of lodging but common ones are wildebeests, African bush elephants, Cape buffaloes, cheetahs, Defassa waterbucks, giant elands, bushbucks and impalas among others. There is undeniably quite a lot to see in this Protected Area and therefore prepare yourself for an adventure of a lifetime.

Day 12&13: Serengeti National Park: Big cat and great migration safari
Breakfast for the next two days will be served early at the Lodge to allow you explore Serengeti National Park and its beautiful surrounding in a number of fun-filled adventures. You will see the big five animals (Cape buffaloes, lions, Rhinos, Leopards and African bush elephants) and Great annual migration (involving gazelles, zebras and wildebeests) which are the Park’s main splendour. The main activities for these two days are game drives, walking safaris and village tours. Other animals to look-out for are impalas, Topis, Defassa waterbucks, giant elands, Hippos, Masai giraffes and Kobs among others.
When you stop at the nearby Masai village, you will undertake walks guided by a local Masai guide to learn about their interesting and well-preserved culture with options of participating in cultural dances, tasting their local dishes, making traditional art and crafts, and others. On finalizing the day, you will always unwind at the Lodge and have dinner.

Day 14: Final safari and drive back to Arusha Town
After breakfast at the Camp, you will embark on the transfer to Arusha Town while taking in the last-minute views of animals, hopefully encountering the ones that were missed. Your next destination is Arusha National Park before making way to the City for dinner and overnight.

Day 15: Departure: End of the 15 days Tanzania Safari
Have a leisurely breakfast and get in the safari vehicle and drive from the Hotel to Airport. Later, take a flight back home or to the next safari.
