The park was established in 1952 spreading over 3,893 square kilometers of Land. Murchison Falls National park is named after the mighty “Murchison Falls” where the Nile river squeeze through a narrow meter gorge of 7 meters dripping 43 meters down into the devils cauldron. Vegetation in the park comprise savannas, shrubs, swamps,  and forest which serve as food and habitat for birds and wild animals. Guided game viewing experience  in the open plains offer you great views of numerous wild animals such as Giraffes, Lions, Leopards, Hippos, Elephants, Topis, Oribis, Water bucks, Warthogs, Uganda kobs and Topis among others. Early morning, day, evening and night game drives are arranged to offers you great views of wild animals hunting, grazing and resting. The other interesting activity done in Murchison Falls National park is boat cruise to the bottom of the falls. The drive time from Kampala/Entebbe to Murchison Falls National Park is roughly 6 hours. Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up by our company tour guide for a road trip to Murchison Falls NP; Driving North wards(7-8 hours’ drive), you will take in the beautiful scenery views of the country side, reaching Masindi Town just in time for lunch’ Later proceed with your drive to Murchison Falls, upon arrival heads straight to the top of the falls and enjoy the wonderful falls as they squeeze through the narrow passage, falling off in a beautiful fountain. Dinner and overnight at Red Chilli (Budget), Parkside Lodge (Midrange) , Pakuba Safari Lodge / Paara Safari Lodge(Luxury).

Day 2: Game Viewing & launch cruise

Rise early, with your morning coffee, embark on an amazing morning game drive through the Nyamsika Plateau; here expect to view the various wildlife species such as Uganda Kob, bushbuck, leopards, spotted hyenas, oribi, sitatunga, waterbucks and hartebeest among others as well as the aquatic species along the river banks inclusive of the crocodiles and hippopotami as well as several bird species like the pelican, Egyptian geese, hombil, shoebill stork etc. Return midmorning to your lodge, have refreshments and lunch; and in the afternoon, engage in an amazing Launch Cruise to the Nile Delta to take in several other wildlife species. Dinner and overnight at Red Chilli (Budget), Parkside Lodge (Midrange) , Pakuba Safari Lodge / Paara Safari Lodge(Luxury).

Day 3: Ziwa Rhinos Sanctuary and Departure

Upon rising, enjoy breakfast and get ready for your return trip to Kampala; En route chimpanzee tracking at Kaniyo Pabidi forest and White Rhinos Sanctuary exploration before proceeding with your drive to Kampala for drop off at either a hotel or Entebbe International Airport for departure flight.
